allen international were briefed to develop a new brand identity and retail bank design for National Bank of Oman, the second largest bank in Oman with over 50 branches. Through the development of a brand and retail strategy we positioned NBO as an ‘Omani bank for Omanis’ and of being an ‘enterprise for a new generation’.
The brand evolved, through colours and soft flowing forms evocative of wind and incense, as the spirit of Oman. The retail experience starts with the welcoming nature of the Omani and the ‘majalis’, a place where people meet and converse in a relaxed central space, which includes integrated merchandise and is surrounded by areas of privacy and consultation.
